Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke with him about his role in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) group and the methods which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your group. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the company's success. Among the most essential is the Search API, which powers results on the Search Results page. Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work closely with the Machine Learning group to bring AI-driven features to the customer experience, such as search relevance enhancements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly group that focuses on strong onboarding and continuous assistance. New staff member are assisted through the ramp-up procedure until they're confident taking complete ownership of their work. Each employee is helpful to other team members when dealing with obstacles. We value a culture where wins are well known honestly, and problems are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person get-togethers, to keep friendship strong. Q. What's your greatest accomplishment up until now at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy with the expert development I've accomplished since joining Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years earlier. Throughout this journey, I've developed deep domain proficiency, remained updated with developing market practices, and regularly worked with contemporary technologies. My commitment to continuous learning and effect caused my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the group's technical leads. Most just recently, I've taken on the responsibility of being the People Leader for the team-an exciting next step that permits me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the truth that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to develop technically and take on greater leadership Q. What should someone aiming to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com offers exciting technical difficulties, from massive data dealing with to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML integration.
